The Traverse City Light and Power Board voted last night (4/20) to approve construction of a Biomass plant.
The vote was 4 in favor, 2 against. In favor were Linda Johnson, Board Chairman; Mike Coco, Board Vice Chairman; John Snodgrass, and John Welch.

It may have been the final forum, but it probably will not be the final word on Biomass for our region.
TCLP said at last night's forum they will have the full voting results from the February forums on their website, tclp.org. On the website already are several documents and power-points on Biomass, gasification, fuel assessments [...]

Traverse City Light and Power's (TC L&P) proposed Biomass plant has caused hundreds of people to begin to investigate whether Biomass is right for Northern Michigan.
