Implementation of The Grand Vision began on November 19 at the Grand Vision Summit. Six issue areas were introduced: Energy, Food & Farming, Growth and Investment, Housing, Natural Resources and Transportation.

In November, members of the six Grand Vision working groups gathered at the Oleson Center at Northwestern Michigan College to share their mission and the goals and the actions they will take to support the six county Grand Vision effort.
Attendees represented regional businesses and nonprofit organizations, as well as local government and citizens at large.
