Public To Weigh-In On Groundbreaking Wind Ordinance for Leelanau County

This Tuesday (Jan 26), at 7 p.m. in Cedar's fire hall, the public will weigh-in on a proposed wind ordinance for Centerville township.
As the Leelanau Enterprise reports, such an ordinance ("governing commercial wind operations") would be the first of its kind for Leelanau County:

Wind Energy Takes Northern Michigan By Storm

Traverse City Light & Power To Buy Wind Power

In a news release, Traverse City Light & Power has announced a 20-year deal with Heritage Stoney Corners Wind Farm I, LLC.  The deal is for 10 Megawatts (MW) of electrical power that is generated by five wind turbines at a wind farm near McBain:
