Suttons Bay Schools is continuing their talks with BATA for BATA to take over busing for their students.

BATA Contract Talks Approach Deadline

The current employment contract for the union workers of BATA who belong to the Teamsters State, County and Municipal Workers Local 214 expires at the end of year.
The Record-Eagle reports that the contract affects 58 bus drivers and mechanics along with 12 dispatchers.

BATA In Talks With TCAPS, Suttons Bay Schools

The Bay Area Transportation Authority (BATA) has entered preliminary talks to provide busing for Suttons Bay Public Schools and is attempting to engage in a dialogue with Traverse City Area Public Schools.
The Record-Eagle reports that Suttons Bay Public approached BATA regarding a busing partnership that would save the school system $600,000 annually.
