Next Stage Of Construction For Cadillac's Mitchell Street

Platte River, MichiganThe Cadillac News has this story on the next stage of road construction for Cadillac's Mitchell Street:

"The Michigan Department of Transportation is looking at starting the next phase of Mitchell Street work by Aug. 1, an MDOT official told the Haring Township Board on Monday.

The board invited Rick Liptak, manager of MDOT’s Transportation Service Center in Cadillac, to its meeting to address questions about the project. The estimated $1.5 million project would replace pavement and repair curbs along the street in the township from 13th Street to Boon Road – and possibly past Boon Road.

Mitchell Street between 13th Street and River Street in Cadillac is slated for reconstruction in 2011. MDOT had planned to work on Mitchell Street between River Street and Boon Road in 2011 but divided the work into two projects once this year’s federal funding became more of a likelihood, [Liptak] said."
