A revision to Wexford County's zoning ordinance is sparking debate.

The Cadillac News has this story:

"As proposed, development of agricultural property for a use other than a farm could be undertaken only if the land in question "is no longer viable for agricultural purposes" and would require a zoning amendment to the Wexford County Comprehensive Plan, according to the draft of the ordinance.

Development would be allowed only if certain conditions were met, such as the land not being well-suited for agricultural or forest production."
