Suttons Bay Schools Move Forward with BATA Partnership
Suttons Bay Public Schools held a meeting Tues (Jan 12) with BATA officials to begin working out the details of a partnership between the school system and the regional bus authority.
7&4 News has the story:
Suttons Bay Public Schools could have to cut spending by 500-thousand dollars next year. It hopes some of the deficit will be taken care of by joining forces with the Bay Area Transportation Authority.
Tuesday, school leaders and BATA officials met to discuss some of the challenges of the plan and find some solutions. BATA also took a look at the school's bus fleet.
The next step is to take a look at some side issues, such as how the district will handle field trips and athletic events.
